I was hired by a massive artist and YouTuber Hi-Rez who has 2.5 million subscribers on that platform. He wanted to develop a PC & mobile game using the Unity engine that allows for shooting and racing game modes in 1 executable.
My Contributions
Started by carving out the gameplay logic and mechanics that to create a game that encompasses the vision my artist wanted for this freelance project. I was the main developer writing the Unity scripts with C# and ensuring the gameplay was smooth and performance was optimal with my code. Created various mechanics and logic within reason of my client's respective budget like recoil, movement etc. Another major milestone I accomplished was to handle server logic and standing up a master server and implementing a server browser which involved using a VPS and making needed Unity API calls to the server to register servers and allow players to join etc.
This application was finalized by me towards November 2024, I started this as my first major, long-term freelance Unity game development project.
